Dorothy B. Smith, 95, of Decatur, IL, died 11:33 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church. Dorothy was born September 23, 1919, in Palmersville, KY, the daughter of Garlin and Ada (Fairchild) Baker. She married Francis Edwin Smith on August 30, 1941 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death. Dorothy was a member of Central Christian Church and worked for Sears in telephone sales for six years. She is survived by her daughter Susan Smith of Decatur, IL; brothers Don Baker and wife Geneva, Bill Baker and wife Peggy, Ken Baker and wife Linda, all of Monticello, KY; nephews Tom DeZarn and wife Bobbi of New York, Gary Baker and wife Tammy, Parrish Baker and wife Jeanie, all of Kentucky; nieces Sabra New and Crystal Baker, all of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepfather, stepmother, sister Irene DeZarn, brother-in-law Jim DeZarn, brother-in-law Robert Smith, sister-in-law Dorothy Smith, nephews Danny Smith and Bobby Smith.
