Dorothy Lippincott

Dorothy Ann Lippincott, 90, of Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m Saturday, July 25, at Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at Shearer Cemetery, New Canton, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Grace United Methodist Church, Girl Scouts of Central Illinois Camping Scholarship, or Decatur Municipal Band. Ann was born September 22, 1924, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Lester and Louise (Alfs) Lippincott. Ann was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Macon Geneological Society, National Audubon Society, AAUW, and Walk to Emmaus. She was a Girl Scout leader and a life time member of the Girl Scouts. Ann was a research chemist at A.E. Staley, retiring after 39 years of service, and a 65 year member of the American Chemical Society. Surviving are her cousin: Johanna Bruns of Winchester, IL; 2nd cousins: William Bruns and wife Becky of Winchester, IL and Robert Bruns and wife Debra of Lemont, IL; special friends: Karen and Angel Larson, Larry and Alice States, Betty Thorp, and Judy Lyons. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and cousin Martha Madarasz. "
