Dorothy Jane Leigh passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family.Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Monday, April 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.Dorothy was born October 1, 1932 in Nokomis, the daughter of Otto and Francis Stolte. She attended school in Nokomis. She was a military wife for 15 years and a stay home mom, and then worked for Kelly Potato Chip. She also worked for Aramark Food Service at Decatur Public Schools, and retired in 1996. Dorothy married Clarence E. Leigh in 1953, and together they had five children. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence, sons Raymond (Paula) Leigh, Richard (Christina) Leigh, and Jim (Mandy Stolz) Leigh, daughter Laura Smith, all of Decatur, and in loving memory of her oldest daughter Janet K. Leigh Reynolds who passed away in 2013 and son-in-law Benny Reynolds in 2012, sisters Betty Babbs of Taylorville, Doris Moore of Decatur, and Marie Green of Pana, brother Kenny Stotle of Carlinville, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janet, and son-in-law Benny.The family would like to thank Cynthia Ann Driscoll and Sue Astramsky for all their loving care of our mother over the last year, Dr. D. Patel and Dr. Velasco, and the hospice nurses. "
