Dorothy L. Hale, 86, of Forsyth, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 24 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Decatur. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family.Dorothy was born January 8, 1930, in Decatur, IL, daughter of Herman W. and Laecilia (Wittke) Besalke. She married Herman Lyle Hale on September 26, 1948 in Decatur. Dorothy was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She worked at the Wharf for 32 years and enjoyed bowling and gardening.Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Herman of Forsyth, IL; daughter: Cheri (Jeff) Lang of Erie, PA; granddaughter: Rachel McBride of Decatur, IL; step-grandchildren: AJ Lang (Shelby) of Decatur, IL and Ashley (Scott) Wiebenga of Grand Rapids, MI; and niece: Deborah Greene of Decatur, IL.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward A. Besalke. "
