Dorothy Irene Gerk, 102, of Decatur, IL, went home to be with her Lord, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Imboden Creek Living Center, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Life Foursquare Church, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Life Foursquare Church. Dorothy was born August 31, 1912, in Cerro Gordo, IL, daughter of Thomas James and Bessie Mae (Hite) Rutledge. She married Elmer William Gerk on June 7, 1932, in Olney. IL. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1978. Dorothy was a member of Life Foursquare Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. She was also a U.F.W. member. Surviving are her daughters: Lois Irene Mayberry and husband Robert and Wanda Ruth Hall and husband Dick, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Richard Mark Hall and wife Jan, Diana Stedman and husband John, Cindy Berry, Rob L. Mayberry and wife Elaine, Tamara Krutsinger and husband Brett; 14 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Lonnie Williams, grand son-in-law Brian Berry, brothers Robert and Kenneth, and sister Ola Gilliland. "
