Dorothy Frances Gilmore Doyle, 97, of Decatur, IL, died 12:05 A.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL.Memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Church.Dorothy was born October 31, 1911, in Fayette County, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Stella (Mahan) Gilmore. She married George A. Doyle on October 31, 1931 and he preceded her in death. Dorothy was a member of Northwest Christian Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and was famous for her lemon pie.She is survived by her sons Lee Doyle and wife Loretta of Blue Mound, IL, Maurice Doyle and wife Franny Elaine of Harristown, IL, Charles Doyle and wife Sharon of Harristown, IL; brothers Harlan of Lake City, IL, Donald of Pana, IL, Charles Devern of AR; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great grandchild, brothers Cletes, Dillard, Dale and Robert and sisters Hazel Depew, Mary Miles, Retha Rigdon and Fern Gilmore.The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation for their loving care, to the staff of Imboden Creek Living Center.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
