Dorothy "Jeannie" Blodgett, 86, of Decatur, IL, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday. Cremation will follow the service. Jeannie was born July 23, 1926, in Cisco, IL, the daughter of Harry and Amy (Veach) Shull. She married Charles Riggs in Farmer City, IL. She later married Ronald Blodgett on December 30, 1991, in Decatur, IL. Jeannie loved serving the public as a waitress at Tom's Grill for at least 50 years. She was devoted to her work, and everyone was truly special to her. She was an avid coffee drinker, loved reading books and doing embroidery, and enjoyed feeding birds at her home, and was definitely fond of cardinals. Jeannie especially loved her family and spending time with everyone. She is survived by her husband Ronald of Decatur, IL; children Pam (Calvin) Mazander of Maroa, IL, James (Peggy) Riggs of Decatur, IL, Sandy (Tom) Jamison-Angle of Urbana, IL; brother Tommy Shull of Decatur, IL, Bud Shull of Harristown, IL; sister Joyce (Leon) Shotton of Decatur, IL, Patty Shull of Decatur, IL, Mary Shepard of Cisco, IL; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Speedy Shull, brother Billy Shull, and sister Kathleen Lane. Jeannie was a priceless treasure and will always be remembered by her family and friends. "
