Dorothy “Jean” Blair, 88, of Oakley, IL, died Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 18, 2016 (her 89th birthday), at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 17, at the funeral home in Cerro Gordo. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.Jean was born July 18, 1927, in Decatur, the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy (Mize) Harrison. She married Floyd E. “Bud” Blair April 21, 1946, in Decatur, IL. Jean worked at various restaurants as a waitress, then at the former Baldwin Grain Co. in Decatur, and then as an auditor for A.E. Staley Company, from which she retired.She enjoyed cooking and baking for family meals, and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Jean was also a very active member of The Brethren Church in Cerro Gordo.She is survived by her husband: “Bud” of Oakley; children: Larry (Ethel) Blair of Decatur, Carolyn Bell of Champaign, Kenneth Dean Blair of Oakley, and David Russell Blair of Decatur; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.Jean was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
