Dorothy Ann Autenrieth, 92, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Friday, September 5, at Imboden Creek Living Center surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born December 1, 1921, in Decatur, IL, to Ethel and Frank Taylor. Her mother passed away when she was four and her father married Leta Lois Butler and she became a dear mother to her. She married Kenneth H. Autenrieth on May 3, 1941 in Hannibal, Missouri and they celebrated 64 years of marriage until his death on May 15, 2005. Dorothy was a Christian lady and a member of Moundford Free Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, sold Avon and worked at Montgomery Wards for 17 years in the office, drapery and men's departments. Surviving are her daughter Carol (Dave) Tarter of Mt. Zion, IL; son Tom Autenrieth of Decatur, IL; granddaughter Kim Lillpop (Mark) and great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Lillpop, all of Mt. Zion, IL. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and two brothers. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Imboden for their loving care, support and compassion during this time. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. "
