Doris Rountree, 79, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Graveside service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Macon County Memorial Park.
Doris was born December 15, 1944 in Decatur, the daughter of Pleasant and Doris (Rutherford) Ross. She most recently worked as bartender and manager of the Moose Lodge in Decatur. She also enjoyed spending time watching nature in her back yard, especially the hummingbirds.
Surviving are her partner, Paul Norris; daughter, Rebecca (Bo) Porchey; granddaughter, Brooke (Brett) Smith; great-granddaughter, Emilie Smith; brother, Mark Ross; and sisters: Cherly (Ford) Lewis, Pam Howard, and Debbie Flesch.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jordan Peters, and brothers: James, William, Donny, and Michael.
