Doris Derington

Doris Ann Derington, 77, of Decatur, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Monday, January 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Derington was born September 1, 1934, in Watatha, Indiana, the daughter of Ivan and Doris Irene (Watts) Thompson. She married Berwyn David "Corky" Derington April 10, 1954, in Crown Point, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Derington worked as a housekeeper with Molly Maid. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Jean Mast and husband William of Decatur; Suzanne Kay Sabourin of Apopka, FL; sister Martha Woods of Valpraiso, IN; brother Ivan Thompson of Cincinnati, OH; sister Esther Webb of Atlanta, GA; brother Leon Thompson of La Porte, IN; brother Clarence Thompson of La Porte, IN; sister Shirley of South Carolina; brother Lloyd Thompson of Kentucky; Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert Lee Grage, three brothers and three sisters. "
