Doris J. (Roddis) Burton, 70, of Decatur died February 9, 2014 at her residence. Memorial mass will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Decatur, IL with Rev. Joe Molloy celebrating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Private burial will be held at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials: Holy Family Catholic Church or Holy Family School. Doris was born November 26, 1943, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Richard F. And W. Jean (Smith) Roddis. She married Philip B. Burton, on September 25, 1981. She retired as a nurse anesthetist from St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Doris was a volunteer at Cancer Care Specialist of Central, IL. She is survived by her step-sons David and wife Peggy of Moweaqua, IL, Douglas and wife Karen of Wheatfield, IN, Dr. Dennis and wife Julie of Metamora, IL; mother, W. Jean Roddis; 3 sisters Geri Shane (Bob) of Washington, IL, Mary Williams (Bob) of Peoria, IL, Lisa Roddis of Decatur; one brother John Roddis of Monticello; sister-in-laws, Liz Burns of Franktown, CO, Janice Roddis, Decatur, IL, Marti Mallory (Shannon) of Indian Wells, CA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Philip; and one brother, Rick.. The family would like to thank Diane, Carol, and Liz for the loving care given to Doris during her journey. "
