Donya Wagner

Donya F. Wagner, 46, of Decatur, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, March 25, 2016, with her family by her side.Funeral services to celebrate her homegoing will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 5-8 P.M on Tuesday, March 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Frantz Cemetery, Oakley, Illinois.Memorials may be made to Kaylee Wagner.Donya was born February 27, 1970, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Shirley (Wells) (Wagner) Guntle and Donald Wagner of Oakley. She graduated from Argenta-Oreana High School. Donya worked for the Macon County Highway Dept. for many years, and later got her CDL and drove a bus for the Decatur Public Transit System. She then went on to pursue her lifelong dream of being a registered nurse. She graduated from the nursing program at Richland, and then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse. The last 3 years she was a RN Charge Nurse at Fair Havens Christian Home. Donya was a very loving, caring woman who never met a stranger. She valued life with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters.She leaves behind her fiancé of 6 years, Mark; children, Kaylee Wagner (Cal Young), Kyler Wagner, Kaleb Wagner, Kendra Wagner (Nathan Gentzyel), and Klayton Wagner, all of Decatur; 2 very special granddaughters, Jayla and Taci, both of Decatur; four siblings DeAnna Tieman (Darrell) of Bement, IL, Donnette Watrous (Marty) of Decatur, Darenda Wagner (Danny) of Decatur, and Donnie Wagner of Woodriver, IL. She also leaves behind her children’s father Charles Earl of Decatur, host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, special lifelong friends Rita Smith, Angie Hurst, Angie Blair-Moore and Roxy Holman.A special thanks to St. John’s Hospice, Bethany and Kim who did a wonderful job caring for Donya, and Fair Havens Christian Home for all they have done.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
