Donna L. Crisel, 81, of Decatur, formerly of Granite City, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Brintlinger and Earl. A small service will follow immediately after visitation at the funeral home. Burial be 1:00 PM, Tuesday April 29, 2025 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Donna was born August 8, 1943 in Decatur the daughter of Francis and Mildred Marie (Spears) Cook. She married Donald Maurice Crisel on August 29, 1984 in Mountain Home, AR. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2017. Donna worked doing clerical work in the Granite City area and also worked as a cook and bartender. She was part owner of the Cornerstone in Warrensburg many years ago. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary in Quad City Amvets, Post 51 in Granite City and VFW Post 1300 in Granite City.
Surviving are her daughters Kimberly (Jeff) May of Decatur and Debra (Jason) Thomas of Raleigh, NC; son, James (Danielle) Pfeifer, Jr; grandchildren: Zackary, Jeremy, Allyson, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Brianna and Hannah; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Jeremy, Jr., Brittany, Amara, Miles, and Lorelei; sisters: Sharon Good and Susie (Leroy) Gober; and one brother, Bud (Janice) Cook.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; sisters: Darlene Tipsword and Beverly McIntyre; and granddaughter, Brittany.
