Donna Jean (Taylor) Bell, 94, of Cerro Gordo, passed away March 3, 2022 at Kirby Medical Center.Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna’s honor may be made to: Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church or National Association for Down Syndrome, 1460 Renaissance Drive, Suite #102, Park Ridge, IL 60068Donna was born December 11, 1927 in Piatt County, the daughter of Jacob Dewey and Ina Alma (Shinneman) Taylor. She married Harold W. Bell and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1991. Donna was well-known and active in the Cerro Gordo community, helping her husband farm and was President of the PTA in Cerro Gordo. She also worked at Carson-Pirie-Scott for 10 years. Donna was an avid fan of the Fighting Illini and St. Louis Cardinals. She was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all of her family.She is survived by her children: Michael Bell of Decatur, Peggy (Billy) Isbell of Bement, Buddy(Kathy) Bell of Sand Springs, OK, Thomas Bell of Decatur, and Kay (the late Anthony) Mueller of Estero, FL; grandchildren: Jill, Jason, Kristi, Michelle, Jennifer, Brandee, Stephanie, Kendra, Kelsey, Elise, Maeve, Colson, Lori , Michelle and Eric; great- grandchildren: Shelby, Lakelyn, William, Sierra, Michael, Matthew, Mikayla, Raegan, Branson, Ephraim, Chloe, Mikaele, Caden, Cayden, Cayla, Skyler, Gabryela, Kaidyn, Riley, Alexander, Landon, Jonathan, Nicolas, Whittnee, Brittnee; great-great-grandson, Daxton; sister, Juanita Flaugher and brother, Warren Taylor.Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son-in-law, Anthony Mueller; granddaughter, Sophia; sister, Helen Dunn; and brothers: Laird, Jack, Dick, Ivan, and Robert Taylor.
