Donald Lee Randy Randolph, 89, of Decatur, IL, died 3:47 P.M., Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Heartland Manor Care of Decatur, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Sunday, April 11, at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites by the Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979, held at 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.Don was born December 21, 1920, in Kenney, IL, the son of Roy J. and Laura (Hunt) Randolph. He married Rosalie Holtz on June 22, 1947 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1993. He later married Phyllis Taylor on January 4, 1998 in Decatur, IL. She survives.Don was a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Kenney High School in 1938 and attended Illinois State University from 1939 to 1942. Don was a flight instructor at the Decatur Airport from 1946 to 1947 and was a Pilot. He was Assistant Manager of Witts Auto Auction from 1947 to 1955 and was also co-owner of Merry-Randolph Motor Supply from 1955 to 1986. He also previously worked at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home for several years. Don was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a Lt. Commander in the Air Corp. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows/Mt. Zion Lodge #300, Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979, Scottish Rite Consistory Valley of Springfield, Royal Arch Mason Macon Chapter #21, Decatur Council #16, Beaumanoir Commandery #9, Knights of the York Cross of Honor, Order of High Priesthood of Illinois, American Legion Post #0848, Decatur Shrine Club, Travels Protective Association, Sons of the American Revolution, ANSAR TEMPLE of Springfield, IL, B.P.O. ELKS Lodge #401, and the Macon County Farm Bureau.Don is survived by his wife Phyllis of Decatur, IL; children David Randolph of Kenney, IL, Virginia Meisenhelter and husband David of Massillon, OH, Roger Randolph of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Michael Meisenhelter of Naples, FL, Megan Meloche and husband Andrew of Walled Lake, MI, and Katherine Koch and husband Martin of Avon Lake, OH; sister Nellie Leimbach of Mt. Pulaski, IL; stepchildren David Taylor of Gahanna, OH, Diana Fitz of Columbus, OH, Jim Taylor of Puyallup, WA, Allison Holub of Moline, IL.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
