Donald L. McMahan, 80, of Forsyth, IL, died 8:25 A.M., Monday, October 22, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northeast Community Fund, 825 N. Water, Decatur, IL 62523 or Homeward Bound Pet Shelter, 1720 Huston Drive, Decatur, IL 62526. Donald was born July 10, 1932 in Broughton, IL, the son of Andrew Jackson and Violet Minnie (Campbell) McMahan. He married Connie Sue Allen on July 10, 1971 in Decatur, IL. Donald retired after 40 years of service with Lakeside Motors. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie of Forsyth, IL; sons Steven McMahon and wife Sally of Freeport, IL, Gary McMahon and wife Mary of McLeansboro, IL, Donnie McMahon and wife Denise of Opdyke, IL; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brothers Osborne, Buddy and Billy McMahon, all of McLeansboro, IL, and Louis "Gene" McMahan of Tempe, AZ; sister Dorothy Pollard of Carmi, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lucille, daughters Donna Jane and Glenda Sue. The family would like to thank the DMH 5th floor staff, Hospice and special caregivers Mike Wilson and Vicki Wigginton, and special little friends Monica, Christopher, Molly, Carlos, and Karli. "
