Donald Berry

Donald D. Berry, 83, of Decatur passed away March 30, 2020 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. No services will be held due to Covid-19 and travel restrictions. Memorials may be made in Don's memory to the American Heart Assn. or to the Alzheimer's Assn. Don was born in Decatur, Illinois on February 24, 1937, the son of Marvin N. & Edna (Skaggs) Berry. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don married Juanita J. (Fox) Miller on August 31, 1979 in Boiling Springs Church of God, Decatur. Don enjoyed driving his Chuck Wagon around to visit friends. He loved decorating house and yard, going all out every holiday, as well as playing Santa for his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his stepson, Chuck. Don leaves to mourn his passing his stepchildren: Charles (Vickie) Miller of Westervelt; Robert Miller of Indiana; Craig A. Miller (Peggy Adams) of Missouri; Judy (Rick) Beals of Ohio; and James Miller of Decatur. He also leaves 13 Step Grandchildren: 1 Grandchild; 40 Step Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great- Grandchildren; 2 Step G-G Grandchildren; several Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Sons, Raymond, Donald Jr. & Dean; 3 Step-grandchildren, Aaron, Kathy, and Raymond. Special thanks to the CV/ICU Staff, 5th Floor Nursing Staff and 5th Floor Careplanning Staff, especially to Karen for everything you did for Don & Family. Rest well Don. We Love You. "
