Don Kramer

Don W. Kramer, Sr., 70, of Decatur, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Friday, January 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Don was born April 23, 1943, in Moweaqua, the son of William H. and Eda May Harkrider Kramer. He married Cecelia A. Jones June 1, 1961. She preceded him in death November 26, 2011. Don retired in October 2001, after 37 years as a millwright at A.E. Staley Company. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served a very short time before receiving a medical discharge. Don was a fan of the Cubs, Illinois basketball, the Bears, and enjoyed doing cross word puzzles. Don is survived by his children, Don W. Kramer, Jr. of Decatur; Bradford W. Kramer of Harristown; Kathy Lynn Kramer of Decatur; Kari A. Johnson and husband Brett Alvis of Cisco; sisters, Joyce and Delores; brothers, Howard Kramer and wife Verna of Decatur; Roger Kramer and wife Elaine of Ohio; Dale Kramer of Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron, and granddaughter Sara Kramer. "
