Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at St. Johns Episcopal Church, Decatur, with a reception at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Johns Episcopal Church.Dolores was born in Chicago IL on August 29, 1921. She and her older sister, Virginia were the only children of John Wallace Crawford and Eulalia Ellen Davis Crawford. At age 3 her family moved to Forrest Illinois, where her father worked as an engineer for the Wabash Railroad. When she was 16 years old, the family moved to Decatur. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1939 and attended Millikin University where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Her early career included secretarial work at Bankers Life Insurance Company and the Decatur Day Nursery. She later served on the board of the Day Nursery. After her children were raised, Dolores worked in the office of her husbands business, Decatur Garment Company until it closed in 1983. She retired from Taylor Pharmacal Company.She married David L. Robertson in 1944. She considered herself very fortunate for her marriage. Her husband passed away in 1991. She is survived by 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They are Janet of Mattoon, IL; David (married to Adienne, with children Colin & Sonia) of Decatur; and Bruce (married to Cindy with children Seyller, Bryant & Elizabeth) of Charlotte, NC. It was with extreme pride and joy that Dolores watched her grandchildren grow to adulthood. Dolores was a member of St Johns Episcopal Church. She served over 50 years on the Altar Guild at St. Johns, including 20 years as director of the guild. She served the community through her membership in PEO chapter GR. She was a member of The Junior Welfare Association, where she earned the title of Patroness.She was blessed with a loving church family and many good friends. She enjoyed getting together with special friends for bridge games, lunches, and other outings. She never met a cat that she did not like. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and nephew, John Saikley. "
