Dolores Vogt Longstreet, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2012, at home. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Dolores was born in Litchfield, IL on August 24, 1946 to Romanus and Augusta Vogt. She lived in Mt. Olive, IL until she was 9 and then moved to Decatur, IL. Dolores married J. Joe Longstreet and celebrated 44 years of marriage on July 27. Dolores had a way of making people feel better. She was strong and caring, and she shared that strength by always being there for others. Family always came first, and Dolores loved her family unconditionally and her friends as family. Dolores is survived by her husband Joe; her children, Michelle (Mike) Woolson, Stacey (Mark) Reynolds, Sherron (Mike) Sloan, and Mike (Hester) Longstreet; her wonderful grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary and Max Longstreet, Caitlin, Morgan, and Rachel Sloan, John and Michaela Reynolds, and David and Alexa Woolson. She is also survived by her siblings, Charles (Patricia) Vogt, Patricia (Wayne) Pruiett, John (Cheryl) Vogt, Michael Vogt, Colleen (Gene) DeTurk, and Michael (Toni) Longstreet; her nieces and nephews; and many close friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. James Wade and all the doctors, nurses, and friends at Cancer Care, Decatur Memorial Hospital and Hospice for their care and compassion given to Dolores.
