Dolores Edwards

Dolores E. Edwards, 83, of Decatur, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Memorial graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 6, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or L.S.A. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mrs. Edwards was born November 24, 1928, in Decatur, the daughter of William and Daisy (Gentry) Barter. She married Leonard Edwards October 26, 1946, in Decatur. Mrs. Edwards worked as an office manager at Schudels for 15 years. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, American Business Women's Association, and she loved to crochet. She was a devoted loving wife and mother, and she loved taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband Leonard of Decatur; daughters Sharon Weybright and husband Gary and Linda Stubblefield and husband George, all of Decatur; brothers Jim Barter of Decatur, John Barter and wife Pat of Seattle, WA, and Mike Barter and wife Sue of Bethany, IL; sister Rosemary Alderson of Sterling, IL; grandchildren Scott Weybright and fiancee` Lynne, Jennifer Ballinger and husband Dennis, Mandy Brown and husband Robert, and Melissa Stubblefield; great grandchildren Jason Weybright and wife Stacey, Chelsea Weybright, Stephanie Williams, Brycen Berrier, and Evan Brown; great great grandchild Isabella Weybright; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, brothers Robert and Dan, and granddaughter Kimberly Weybright-Williams. The family extends special thanks to her caregivers, Annette, Rhoda, and Kim.
