M. Dolores Barnett, 89, of Decatur, IL., died on Saturday (August 9, 2008) at 12:20 A.M. at Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday (08-13-2008) at St. Patricks Catholic Church, with visitation on Tuesday (08-12-2008) from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: St Patricks Catholic Church.Dolores was born on March 8, 1919, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Garhard Herman Rakers and Elizabeth Otilia (Hines) Rakers. She married Elmer D. Barnett on December 12, 1942 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1993.She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church.She is survived by her children: Mary E. Parkhurst and husband Carl of Forsyth, IL., Dale E. Barnett of Decatur, IL., Margaret E. Foster and husband Barney of Decatur, IL., Kathryn L. Lewis and husband Ron of Milton, FL., Daniel E. Barnett and wife Rhonda of Decatur, IL., Daryl J. Barnett and wife Sandy of Decatur, IL., Karen A. Shaffer and husband Larry of Orange City, FL.; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Hays, Lorraine Kapper and husband Bud, Norma Rakers, and one brother Al Rakers and wife Joyce.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister- Ethel Leipzig and two brothers- Francis Rakers and James Rakers, and one granddaughter Lynette Parkhurst.
