Richard "Dick" Wilber, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:43 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Decatur Gun Club. Dick was born July 8, 1939, Decatur, IL, the son of William F. and Lela (Gardner) Wilber. He married Phyllis E. Prince on August 28, 1976, in Decatur. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2010. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, retired from Transport Service, and owned/operated Village Gunsmith. He was a member of S.A.S.S., Decatur Gun Club, and N.R.A. Surviving are his mother Lela Wilber of Decatur, IL; sister Patricia Herring of Tallahassee, FL; children Rich L. Wilber and wife Tracey of Decatur, IL, Martin L. Moore and wife Dolores of Albuquerque, NM, Cody L. Moore and wife Jean of Decatur, IL, Jeanne R. Anderson of Ramsey, IL; grandchildren Haylee and Torey Wilber, Bobby and Matthew Moore, Ashley, Brittany and Emma Moore, Lacey Anderson and 3 great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his father, wife, brother Robert, and sister Mary K. Wilber. The family would like to give special thanks to Wes Pietsch. "
