Denny Chumbley

Denny Wayne Chumbley, 45, of Dawson, IL, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arcola Township Cemetery, Arcola, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Denny was born July 12, 1973, in Tuscola, IL, the son of Donald and Pamela Chumbley. He was a graduate of Illiopolis High School, where he was on the football, wrestling, and track team. Denny loved to fish, do outside work and enjoyed cooking and grilling. He worked at Mechanicsburg Elevator, and previously worked for Bodine Services, Trinity Towers, Ase Blacktop and other places during his life. Denny was a hard worker, and would do anything for anyone and loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his son Zachary and daughter Rebecca Chumbley, both of Decatur, IL; siblings Stephanie Chumbley of LaPlace, Danny Chumbley of Illiopolis, Brian Chumbley of Danville; special niece and nephew Makenna and Luke Liming; father and mother Donald and Pamela of Lake City; maternal grandmother Flossie Risley of Arthur; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and the love of his life Sheri Spainhour of Dawson, IL. He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Brent, paternal grandparents Howard and Suzanna Chumbley, maternal grandfather Bill Risley.
