Metamora- Delores Jean Fleagle Parish, 85, formerly of rural Decatur, passed away at 5:00 AM Monday, March 31, 2009, at Snyder Village Nursing Home in Metamora. She was born on September 28, 1923 in Harristown, IL to Eva Mae (Williams) Fleagle and Oscar Fleagle. She was married to Gerald Herman Parish for over 60 years. They made their home on their farm near Harristown. Gerald preceded her in death in 2004.Delores is survived by one daughter Carol Sue Robinson of Gilbert, AZ, one son Steven Gerald (Mary Jo) Parish of Washington, IL, four grandchildren: Michael (Andrea) Parish of Rosemount, MN, Joan (Joseph) Cunnane of Highland Park, IL, Kim (Dan) Haesemeyer of Billings, MT, and David (Tavya) Robinson, of Scottsdale, AZ, and five great grandchildren. Delores was a graduate of Mt. Pulaski High School and Browns Business College in Decatur. She was previously employed by Staleys, Bachrachs, and Weight Watchers International, but was primarily a homemaker with a real passion for travel resulting in trips all over the world. She was a member of the Harristown Christian Church. Visitation will be at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 with services at 10:00 AM April 8, 2009. Following the services, interment will take place at Harristown Cemetery.
