Delbert Leon Garner, 91, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the Macon County Fair Association, 3700 N. Westlawn Ave., Decatur, IL 62526.
Delbert was born on January 10, 1935 in Valley City, IL , the son of Walter C. and Rachel Isabella (Van Hyning) Garner. He married Karin Dash-Betzer and she survives.
He had been the owner/operator of Garner Home Repair. Prior to that he had served in and retired from the U.S. Air Force, and also had worked for McDonnell Douglas.
Delbert is survived by his wife Karin Betzer-Garner of Decatur, his daughter Debbie Wasmer of WI.
He is preceded by his parents and his siblings.
