Delbert Cearlock

Delbert V. “Del” Cearlock, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Following cremation rites, Inurnment will be at a later date in Millersville Cemetery, Millersville, IL. Memorials may be made to Heartland Technical Academy at Richland Community College, Decatur. Del was born September 21, 1937, in Pana, Illinois, the son of Voris and Rosalind Irene (Funk) Cearlock. Del worked for Wiese Planning and Engineering in Decatur. He attended Lampstand Church, Decatur. He is survived by his sons Tracy “Biz” Allen (Dena) Cearlock of Decatur, Rex Dale (Jana) Cearlock of Crossville, IL; 4 grandchildren Austin, Jensen, Alex, and Justin Cearlock; brothers Rex Duane (Nina) Cearlock of San Antonio, TX, Nyle (Jeanie) Cearlock of Hot Springs, AR, Bruce Lee (Nila) Cearlock of California; sister Jewell (Mike) Young of Decatur; and a dear friend Jerry (Ginger) Fair of Mt. Zion. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to give special thanks to all the Doctors and staff on 4th floor at Decatur Memorial Hospital for the loving care of Delbert.
