Debra Kay (Rinehart) Sunderlik, 61, of Decatur, IL, died 4:03 A.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL, surrounded by her loving family and devoted friends. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Stephen Ministries or Grace United Methodist Church. Debra was born December 1, 1950, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Imogene (Smith) Rinehart. She married Jack Sunderlik in 1968. Debra was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church and member of Stephen Ministry. She was a graduate of MacArthur High School. Debra worked for Flinkman Realty, a family owned business in California, as a bookkeeper and receptionist for 26 years. She was an avid reader, attended Bible Study, and loved doing needle work. She is survived by her son Michael Sunderlik of Springfield, IL; former husband and close friend Jack Sunderlik of Springfield, IL; sister Darlene (Jim) White of Oreana, IL; two nieces and one nephew. She also leaves her cat Tut, beloved pet of 21 years. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Surgical Intensive Care unit of Carle Clinic, devoted friend Donna Adcock and the members of Stephen Ministry, who spent precious last moments with Debra.
