Dawne Nihiser

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday August 12, 2008, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM , Monday August 11, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Boody, lllinois. Memorials may be made to Decatur Genealogical Society, Decatur, or donor's choice. Dawne was born December 10, 1955 in Decatur, the beloved daughter of Glenn and Beverly Scroggins Brown. Dawne graduated from MacArthur High School in 1974. She worked at Federal Kemper Insurance several years before being disabled by diabetes. She had many pen pals all over the world that she had written to since grade school. She also enjoyed doing genealogy and spent many hours looking for lost relatives. Dawne married Ronald E. Nihiser on March 18, 1977 in Decatur, lllinois. Dawne leaves to cherish many happy memories husband Ron, daughter, Bethany Nihiser of Decatur, son, Shannon Nihiser and wife Kara of Decatur, brother, Michael Brown and wife Shelley of Decatur, parents, Glenn and Beverly Brown of Decatur and grandchildren Bobby Nihiser of Decatur, Tyler Koltveit and Hannah Nihiser of Decatur, grandfather, Maurice McLean of Coffeen, mother-in-law, Dorothy Nihiser and sister-in-law, Jean Creighton of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Amber Dawne Nihiser and grandparents Cecil and Lucille Brown and Elmer (Zeke) and Etta Mae Scroggins. Special thanks to all the many, many doctors who helped her through a kidney transplant and many years battling diabetes and heart problems.
