David C. Roper, 56, of Decatur, passed away January 3, 2026 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, January 5, 2026 at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, is assisting the family.
David was born April 12, 1969 in Decatur, the son of Claud Thomas and Cathy L. (Mills) Roper. He worked for many years as a handyman and farm helper.
Surviving are his mother, Cathy; sister, Kimberly Wheatley of Oxford, GA; nieces and nephews: Trent Dvorak, Savannah Benedict, and Hunter Wheatley; as well as many cousins and relatives in the area.
David was preceded in death by his father, Claud and sister, Tammy P. Dvorak.
