David Riley

David C. "Alf" Riley, died on his 57th birthday, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 18, at the funeral home. Casual/car-related attire is suggested. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife, Diana. David was born August 15, 1958, in Decatur, the son of James Russell and Opal Irene (Ward) Riley. He married Diana Harbarger April 20, 1990, in Decatur. David was a second shift foreman for Bodine Electric for 9 years, and previously worked at Buchanan Electric. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, arrowhead collecting, antique/collector/hot rod cars and attending car shows. He was also a member of I.B.E.W. #146. David is survived by his wife: Diana of Maroa; children: Jennifer L. Whitney and husband Lance of Bethany, David A. Riley of southern Illinois, Michael C. Riley of Maroa, Darrell L. West and Michelle of Maroa, Angela M. Fedie and husband Jesse of Homer, LA, and James D. West and Courtnie of Maroa; father: James Russell Riley of Findlay; brother: James Dwight Riley and wife Paula of Findlay; sisters: Diana Lynn Darnell of Shelbyville and Debra Ann Reynolds and husband Mike of Findlay; 8 beloved grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his mother Opal Irene Riley, brother-in-law Jack Darnell, and uncle Bud Riley. "
