David L. St. Pierre, 76, of Cerro Gordo, IL, died 10:15 P.M., Monday, January 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 11, 2013, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, January 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church. David was born May 7, 1936 in Mt. Zion, IL, the son of Gerald Richard, Sr. and Helen Jean (Shannon) St. Pierre. He married Ramona K. Miller on November 27, 1960 in Decatur, IL. David was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He worked at Superior Welding and Kopetz for 36 years, retiring in 1998. David enjoyed farming, square dancing, going to auctions and fairs. He especially enjoyed watching his granddaughters show their calves at fairs and play sports. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ramona of Cerro Gordo, IL; children Tim D. (Jill) St. Pierre, Todd A. (Michelle) St. Pierre, all of Cerro Gordo, IL, and Kim R. (John) Decesaro of Bethany, IL; 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Gerald (Doris) St. Pierre, Jr. of Mt. Zion, IL, Chuck (Mary) St. Pierre of Monroe, IA, Karen (Larry) Lange of Macon, IL, Sharon (Don) Peddicord of Irving, IL, Terry (Cindy) St. Pierre of Unionville, MO, brother-in-law Dan Miller and wife Ronda of Spring Branch, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one step granddaughter. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Esparaz and staff, Dr. Shackelford and staff, and Dr. Maibenco for the excellent care given to David. "
