David Allen Lotz, 29, of Marietta, GA, died Friday, August 17, 2012, in Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, GA. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Thursday, August 23, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 26, at Rivercliff Lutheran Church, Sandy Springs, GA. Memorials may be made to Damascus Road Recovery, P.O. Box 1555, Covington, GA 30015. David was born May 14, 1983, in Decatur, the son of Michael A. and Janet M. (David) Lotz. David enjoyed bowling, landscaping, and yard work. He loved kids and his music. He was also very artistic and loved to draw. David was a member of Rivercliff Lutheran Church in Sandy Springs, GA. He loved his family and friends and his dog, Roxxy, very much. David is survived by his father and mother, Michael A. and Janet Lotz of Marietta, GA; brothers Christopher M. Lotz of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC, Kenneth E. Lotz of Marietta, GA; paternal grandmother Phyllis Lotz of Decatur; maternal grandfather Donald David of Decatur; paternal great grandmother Ada Artze; aunts Pam Mann and husband Jim of Tuscola, Susan Perini and husband Tony of Lawrenceville, GA; uncle Mark Lotz of Decatur; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, and aunt Linda Artze. "
