David Gambrill

David A. Gambrill, 54, of Niantic, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 9, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Friday, June 8, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. David would want everyone to dress in casual attire. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice Care. David was born October 18, 1957, in Decatur, the son of Robert and Vera (Neyhard) Gambrill. He married Connie Groves in Decatur on January 6, 1978. David worked at Bannings as an auto mechanic for ten years. Prior to that he worked at Lakeside Motors for many years, and also delivered the Herald and Review newspaper for many years. David also worked on cars at his home. He was a Nascar fan, loved his Harley-Davidson, and was affiliated with the Forsyth Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Connie of Niantic; son Shawne Gambrill and Katie Reynolds of Decatur; daughter Jill Force and husband Eric of Decatur; grandchildren: Brayden, Hailey, Jacob, Celeste, Caidyn, Camdyn, Lorelei, Hannah, and Addison; brother Jeff Gambrill and wife Judy of Niantic; sisters Barb Lengsfeld and husband Jim of Las Vegas, and Karen Fozzard of LeRoy, IL.
