David Dietrich

Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday October 17, 2009, at First Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial at a later date will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Metamora, IL. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.David was born August 28, 1943, in Mason City, IA, the son of Leonard P. and Evelyn L. (Moretz) Dietrich. David attended Mason city Junior College and received a Bachelors Degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University. He married Donna J. Scheirer on September 7, 1968 in Metamora, IL.David was a member of First Lutheran Church. He was an agronomist for 15 years with FS and 18 years with DeKalb. David most recently worked at Menards from 1999 to 2007. He was an avid Illini fan, avid fisherman, and loved to garden and plant trees.He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna of Decatur, IL; children Jason Bradley Dietrich and wife Tamara of Lincoln, IL, Nancy Ann Dietrich-Rybicki and husband Russell of Urbana, IL; father Leonard P. Dietrich and wife Lila of Manly, IA; brother Leo Dietrich and wife Karen of Lake Villa, IL; sisters Edna Mostrom of Albert Lea, MN, Lila Frahm and husband Charles of Anaheim, CA, Helen Halsne and husband Alan of Laurel, MT, Alyce Hugeback and husband Richard of Hampton, IA, Janet Timberman of Vancouver, WA, Donna Gerdes and husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law Suzanne Schmidgall.He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn and brothers Lynn & Robert Dietrich.
