David Butler

David J. Butler, 71, of Decatur, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, at his residence. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, Illinois. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Butler was born September 16, 1940, in Decatur, the son of Jay and Helen Mildred (Hargett) Butler. He married Jonetta Kay Smith June 5, 1965, in Decatur. Mr. Butler retired from Caterpillar after 35 years of service. He loved his Cubs, Cardinals, and Bears. He is survived by his wife Jonetta of Decatur; son Jeffrey A. Butler and wife Beth of Athens, IL; daughter Rhonda C. Butler of Champaign, IL; grandchildren Cori, Chris, Casey, Shelby, and Ashleigh; brother Roger Butler and wife Nellie of Lake Station, IN; sister Janice Sim and husband Lyle of Jacksonville, FL.
