Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m, Saturday, December 27, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, at Marshall Cemetery, Marshall, IL.Memorials may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.David was born July 9, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the son of Stuart A. and Jeanette Eleanor (Johnson) Bentley. He married Barbara A. Maurer. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2006.David served his country with the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was the owner of the Eldorado Bowl Bowling Alley. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching movies, bowling, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. David was a member of the Decatur Bowling Association and was a member of the Decatur Bowling Association Hall of Fame.Surviving are his daughters Sheryl Fabbri and Bonny Frazier, both of Arizona; son Stephen A. Bentley of Decatur, IL; three grandchildren; and brother Stuart Bentley of Chicago, IL.David was preceded in death by his parents and wife. "
