David Edward Oren Beck, age 67, of Mt. Zion, Illinois went to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 5th, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a battle with diabetes and cardiac disease. David was born in Decatur, Illinois on June 14th, 1951. He was placed in the Lutheran Baby Home until he was adopted at the age of 5 by Edward Oren Beck and Henrietta Wilhelmina (Leipski) Beck. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a boiler technician and was a member of VFW Post 99. In September 2018, David re-dedicated his life and was baptized at his home church, GT Church. He loved going fishing and was a Bears and Cardinals fan. David is survived by his ex-wife Carla, daughter Rachel Danielle Beck and his caregivers (ex-wife) Carol Beck and (ex-sister-in-law) Lori Camac. He is preceded in death by his son, Aaron, and his parents. Memorial visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, May 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.
