Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM September 2, 2008 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown. Memorials may be given to Northwest Christian Church.Bud was born July 7, 1938 in Ramsey, IL, the son of Theodore and Gladys (Merriman) McCormick. He married Nancy R. Richards September 26, 1957 in Decatur, IL.He was employed in the snack food industry in sales management. Chips enjoyed golf and 3 cushion billiards. He was a member of Northwest Christian Church.Surviving are his wife Nancy, one son Mike McCormick and wife Lori of Knoxville, TN; two daughters Kathy Jess and husband Bill of Macon, Bridget England of Decatur. Six grandchildren; Julie Elwick and husband Chris of Mt. Zion, Matthew McCormick of Knoxville, TN; Sarah McCormick of Colombus, OH; Ben Phillips of Decatur; Elijah England of Decatur; Toby England of Decatur; two step-grandchildren Courtney Hill and husband Darin of Imlay City, MI; Tyler Jess of Scottsdale, AZ. Five great grandchildren. Brother, Norman Cy McCormick and wife Lois of Chestnut, IL and sister Marilyn Floyd of St. Charles, MO.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jack; and grandson Timothy Lane.He will be missed by his longtime friends Buster and Sharon Powell, Doc and Joan Young, Larry Eckert and many others.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
