Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 17, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Bement Cemetery, Bement, IL.Memorials may be made to Donors Choice.Darrell was born October 29, 1922, in Bement, IL, the son of Gerald and Norma (Tully) Jackson.He married Maxine Marie Appelt on September 19, 1942 in Old Monroe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2006.Darrell was a member of Life Foursquare Church. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. and formerly worked for Norge for 18 years in Effingham, IL. Darrell was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart.He is survived by his daughter Peggy Micklautz of Effingham, IL; son Paul L. Jackson of Decatur, IL; grandson Mike Micklautz and wife Tonni; great grandchildren Nathan and Abbie Micklautz; sister Wilma Nettleship of Decatur, IL; brother Loren Jackson and wife Faye of Long Creek, IL; half brother Galen Tully of Sullivan, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Maxine.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
