Danny Aughenbaugh

Danny L. Aughenbaugh, 73, of Decatur passed away June 4, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday June 11, 2022 at Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut Illinois. Memorials in Danny’s honor can be made to the Aughenbaugh Family or Life Foursquare Church.
Danny was born March 12, 1949, in Decatur, the son of Everett and Joan (Watkins) Aughenbaugh. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air force and proudly served our country in the Vietnam War. He married Debbie Dierker on February 12, 1983. Danny worked as a welder at Caterpillar for 36 years. He enjoyed gardening – particularly raising cacti. Danny was a member of Life Foursquare Church and was a member of the UAW at Caterpillar.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie, Children: Tim of Forsyth, Tammy (Joe) of Moreno Valley, CA. Jeremy (Kari) of Ft. Myers, FL. and Jared of Decatur; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and his beloved dog: Smokey.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, son: Joshua, 1 brother, and close friend Delmar Sandage.
