Daniel Wydick

Daniel Galen Wydick, 79, of Warrensburg, IL passed away at 12:10 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with family and his dog, Dexter, by his side. Dan was born November 28, 1938 in Decatur, IL the son of Kenneth and Helen (Hoendorf) Wydick. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the United States Army. Dan retired from G.J. Builders Hardware after 47 plus years. He was a board member of the trustees for the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Warrensburg-Latham Lion’s Club. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, daughters Michelle (Brian) Huggins of Forsyth, Angie (Scott) Ross of Kentucky, and Jennifer Tennyson of Warrensburg; his grandchildren Jacob (Taylor) Huggins of Nevada, Cody Huggins of Bloomington, Meghan Huggins of Normal, Tori and Valerie Tennyson of Warrensburg and Shelby and Mark Ross of Kentucky; and his sister Susan Wydick of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws. A memorial service honoring Dan’s life will be held at Renaissance Church Saturday, December 1 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club and Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Department.
