D. Christopher Eldridge, 47, of Decatur, IL, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 14, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Sunday, November 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Maranatha Assembly of God or National Rifle Association. Christopher was born October 29, 1964 in Decatur, IL, the son of David Kay and Patricia (Prazak) Eldridge. He was a graduate Gemologist and spent his life career as a Diamond Specialist for K's Merchandise. Christopher was very interested in movies and astrology and was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid big game hunter, participating in safari's around the world, including Alaska, Africa and Canada. He is survived by his children Quinton Tyler Eldridge and Pallavi "Alli" Anjuli Eldridge, both of Mt. Zion, IL; mother Patricia Ann Eldridge of Decatur, IL; father and stepmother Kay and Eileen Eldridge of Decatur, IL; sister Patricia "Patty" Sammons of Mt. Zion, IL; stepsisters Kandy Huston of Sarasota, FL and Holly Markwell of Mt. Zion, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas Christopher Eldridge and sister Elizabeth Ann Eldridge. "
