D. Inez Andreas, 95, of 9909 Collins Ave, Bal Harbour, FL, died 9:28 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, in Decatur, IL. A Private Family Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date at Barry University, Miami, Florida. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, IL will be assisting the family with local arrangements. Memorials: the American Red Cross; Barry University, Miami, Florida; and Millikin University. Inez was born July 9, 1917, in Earlham, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Mae (Simms) Snyder. She married Dwayne O. Andreas on December 16, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN. She attended Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Minnesota. She later received her Masters Degree in Psychology at Barry University, Miami, Florida. Inez was known for her many philanthropic activities, including: the Millikin University Board of Directors, 20 years as Chairman of Barry University Board of Directors, and currently Chairman Emeritus of Barry University, Miami, FL, and American Red Cross National Board of Directors. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dwayne of Bal Harbour, FL; daughter: Terry Lynn Andreas and husband John Hewig of New York, NY, son: Michael (Sally) Andreas of Decatur, IL; stepdaughter; Sandra Ann McMurtrie of Bethesda, MD; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sister: Billie (Charles) Marjnarich of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Owen Snyder, and sister: Kay Brown Ritchie. The Andreas family wish to say "Thank You" to the many caregivers who made her final days so peaceful.
