Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, at St. Johns Episcopal Church, with visitation 11:30 until service time. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to St. Johns Episcopal Church.Mrs. Thompson was born September 23, 1936, in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Frederick and Parilee (Hurst) Carroll. She married Morton Thompson May 15, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Thompson graduated from the University of Tulsa, and then taught at McClure Elementary School in Tulsa. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church and DAR. She is survived by her husband Morton of Decatur; daughter Meredith Brodland and husband Paul of Huntersville, NC; son John Thompson and wife Veronica of Champaign, IL; grandchildren: Amy Brodland, Dana Brodland, Derek Brodland, Emmily Thompson, and Joel Thompson.Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents.
