Curtis G. Jackson, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Graceland Cemetery with full military honors by the Macon County Honor Guard. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Curtis was born March 2, 1945, in Decatur to Gerald and Norma (Ater) Jackson. He served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1970 and in the reserves from 1970-1972 and worked for many years in local property management. He married Malinda Hayes Boliard on October 18, 1997, in Decatur.
Curtis loved history, especially the history of Decatur. He supported the Governor Oglesby Mansion and was a member of the Decatur Landlords. He enjoyed traveling the world, watching Fox News, and cheering for the Illini and EIU. He played Commodore Stephen Decatur at the Decatur Celebration for several years.
He is survived by his wife-Malinda Jackson of Decatur; three sons, Paul (Leslie) Boliard of Decatur, Bruce (Lisa) Boliard of Macon, and Michael Boliard of Decatur; four brothers, Roger (Robin) Jackson of Kansas City, MO, Erwin (Stefanie) Jackson of Tallahassee, FL, Terry (Sally) Jackson of Mundelein, IL, and Marty (Kathy) Jackson of Hollywood, FL; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
