Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 12, 2009, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association.Connie was born May 18, 1951 in Streator, IL, the daughter of David and Lorraine (Ninick) Overocker. She married John Hughes on May 10, 1995, in Decatur, IL. Connie worked at Ameren IP as an Operation Service Rep for 32 years. She was a member of the Women of Moose and USBC United States Bowling Congress. Connie was an avid Chicago Cubs and Illini Fan. Her grandbabies Kaidy and Julia were the love of her life.She is survived by her husband John Hughes of Decatur, IL; mother Lorraine Jo Overocker of Decatur, IL; son Joe (Amber) Hunolt of Morton, IL; grandchildren Kaidy and Julia Hunolt; brother Randy (Brenda) Overocker of Cerro Gordo, IL; sister Cindy (Mike) Zeilman of Springfield, IL; niece Courtney (Will) Lovett of Rochester, IL; nephews Shawn and Shane Overocker of Decatur, IL, Jeremy (Audrey) Zeilman of Champaign, IL; great nephew and great nieces Broedy Overocker, Isabella Zeilman, Britton and Reagan Lovett.She was preceded in death by her father David, grandparents, and sister-in-law Candi Overocker.
