Connie Lou Thomas, 73, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Young officiating. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.
Connie was born November 5, 1951 in Decatur the daughter of William Wayne and Lena Elzora (Smith) Sparks. She married Tim Thomas on December 24, 2016 in Decatur. Connie worked for Caterpillar, Industrial Electric, and retired from ADM, where she worked in accounting. After retirement, Connie provided compassionate care to her beloved aunt, Barbara as well as several residents in nursing homes. She enjoyed dancing and swimming in the pool. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and South Shores Christian Church in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband of 8 years, Tim; daughter, Farrah (Larry) McCray of Lake Charles, LA; additional children: Jenny, Tim, Jr (Tess), and Leiloni; grandchildren: Tim, Jon, Joe, Larry III, and Breanda; additional grandchildren: Ruby, Michael, Sabrina, Alex,Kya and Jordan; great-grandchildren: Justin, Sarah, Bella Jo, Abigail and Sandy; brother, Bob Sparks and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William and sister, Carol.
