Connie Price

Connie Marie Price, 58, of LaPlace, IL. passed away at 10:31 P.M. on Saturday (12-29-2012) in her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday (01-03-2013) at La Place Church of the Brethren, LaPlace, IL., with visitation one hour prior at the church and from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday (01-02-2013) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at LaPlace Cemetery, LaPlace, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. Connie was born on November 18, 1954 in Decatur,IL., the daughter of Conrad Hiser Jr. and Eleanor (Good) Hiser. She married Jim W. Price on January 25, 1974 in LaPlace, IL. She was a member of LaPlace Church of the Brethren, owned and operated Wheel Inn Café in LaPlace for five years. Connie and Jim also owned and operated Cracker's Corner in LaPlace, IL. for eighteen years until May of 2012. She was very involved in the Moultrie County Dove Christmas program for many years. Connie is survived by her husband Jim of 38 years of LaPlace, IL.; two daughters: Shannon Marie Garver and husband Mike of Decatur, IL. and Nicky Jean Grider and husband Josh of LaPlace, IL.; four grandchildren: Nicole, Davin, Benton, and Tristan; and two brothers: Leslie Michael Hiser and wife Joyce of LaPlace, IL. and Donald Ray Hiser and wife Sharon of Rice Lake, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents. Connie loved her time with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren. She spent her life putting others first. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. "
